Methodology of using the resource/ tool	Quizalize is a gamified formative assessment application that helps teachers personalize learning in the classroom. There are over 120,000 ready-made quizzes or it allows to create own tests easily. Teachers can instantly see which students need help and what they need help with, and automatically assign differentiated follow-up activities. Teacher can use it as a pre-assessment tool before a unit to see which students need more support. Then use it as a formative assessment to check for understanding and determine how to proceed with instruction in the middle of lessons and units. The platform allows to hide student identifiers and share results with the class for instructional purposes. Break out of the multiple-choice modes by setting up surveys to get student opinions or as a self-reflection tool. Students can create their own questions to include in a quiz for their classmates. Quizalize allows to identify student learning gaps, conduct targeted instruction for students with shared strengths and weaknesses, obtain data on student performance.
Main functionalities	Quizalize allows: Assign follow-up activities that automatically appear after quizzes. Set up differentiated follow up activities and track improvements data. Assign quizzes and resources for a specific time frame. Set different videos, PDFs and web links, depending on students’ scores. Get recommendations for effective resources: students who score under 50% in a quiz can receive a YouTube video explaining the topic; students who score 50-80% can see web page to improve their subject knowledge; students who score over 80% can get a PDF extension worksheet, or a more difficult quiz. Screen share live game results. Upload any resources that were already used in lessons, for easy access when setting quizzes. Configure Quizalize so that students first take a quiz, then complete a follow-up activity – for example, watching a video or reading a web page – and then retake the original quiz. See how much students have improved as a direct result of a follow-up activity. Quickly find the right quizzes with enhanced previews. Analyze and share student quiz data. Make the following settings: assign quiz now, but students can only access from the selected time; the quiz will only end when all answers are correct; play music and sounds on the students’ devices; each question will have a timer shown to students; set the number of tries students will be allowed; use all or selected number of questions for certain quiz; allow students to see their results; show feedback and answer explanation; show correct answers; add comments to the activities.
