DIGITAL TUTORS: FACING THE NEW GENERATION AND CHALLENGES: INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE FOR RESULTS DISSEMINATION

International event gathered together about half a dozen like-minded people, interested in digital education, technologies and digital competence assessment, to gain new knowledge, share good practice, chat over a cup of coffee, and celebrate the upcoming holidays.
During the conference, the DigitalTutors project partners from Lithuania (VšĮ “eMundus, Kėdainiai Vocational Training Center), Spain (Associació Meraki Projectes de València) and the Netherlands (ROC Friese Poort, Stichting Learning Hub Friesland) shared the achieved results, the guests from Faculty of Informatics of the Kaunas University of Technology shared the knowledge and good practices of developing hybrid education and technologies adapted to it.
The project coordinator Aurima Bajorūnienė presented the “DigitalTutors” project, reviewed the goals, activities, results, shared her impressions from the events held in the project meetings, trainings, online meetings and also highlighted that the technologies discovered during the project, the tools found for reliable remote communication, quickly united the team and encouraged them to share their knowledge, discoveries, and experience as much as possible.

MULTIPLIER EVENT IN KĖDAINIAI VOCATONAL EDUCATION CENTRE

“A digital teacher is a new reality” – with these words, the Kėdainiai Vocational Educational Training Center started teacher training – conference dedicated to present the project‘s “Digital teachers: the new generation and challenges” results and intellectual outputs. Also to introduce district teachers to innovations in digital teaching content. It is good that as many as 42 teachers and education workers from various schools and other educational institutions of the district were taking part in the training and conference. The training participants were introduced to the project’s intellectual outcomes, achieved results, and activities. Piloting training was also held on the Thinkific platform, which was one of the project’s intellectual products as well. Teachers could touch the content of the platform, connect and test their competence and abilities as digital teachers. They were also able to self-assess their digital competences through the evaluation system and to see where efforts should be made. The training was conducted by the Kėdainiai VETC English teachers Živilė Matukienė, Žilvinas Kapočius and Aurima Bajorūnienė, and Edita Rudminaitė, a representative of VšĮ “eMundus”. Those teachers have already completed a training course in the Netherlands and received a Digital Teacher certificate. Teachers who are interested in digital education, technology and evaluation of digital competences and opportunities improved and gained new knowledge, shared good practices, chatted over a cup of coffee and rejoiced at the upcoming holidays.

Adult education Care and Welfare – Blended Learning
Trainer: Lilian Kroon
To guide teachers in creating multiple Blended modules on the online learning environment, Lilian Kroon has given a training to 25 teachers, including their team leaders. During the training, the teachers were introduced to the online learning environment and Blended Learning. They also received an explanation of the available digital tools. They have practiced on the online learning environment themselves and can register to follow the digital Blended Learning module under the supervision of three FP Design employees. As soon as they decided to actually develop the modules, employees of FP Design will continue the supervision of creating the modules in a Blended way.

Economy and trade – Blended Learning

The reason the Multiplier event was divided in to different meetings was because we could reach more people this way. We had a lot of requests of trainings about Blended Learning. It was hard to gather all the people at the same place at the same time.

Frisian – Blended Learning

On 30 November a group of people from different organizations came together because they wanted to create a Blended Learning Module about the Frisian language. Before the design of the material the people got a presentation about Blended Learning and after this they followed the online digital tutor training about Blended Learning. Now they know how to use this in education.

“DIGITAL TUTORS: 2020, A BEFORE AND AN AFTER”

The main purpose of the conference was to disseminate the DIGITAL TUTORS PROJECT amongst VET teachers from the city of Valencia (Spain) and the surrounding area. It was held under the support of the Centre of educational Formation and Innovative Resources (CEFIRE) and it was held in the on-line classroom facilities of the IES Districte Maritim Secondary School.
